The Fondazione Mondo Digitale will participate in Maker Island, the first event celebrating maker culture, our 21st century craftsmen, in Sardinia. The central theme of the initiative is “ground roots innovation” with a focus on a continuous dialogue between enterprise and institutions.
The event will be held in Olbia on October 16-18 at the Archeological Museum, a powerful symbol as an island in the island. The museum is ideal to host the event on the evolution of human dexterity from stones to 3D printers.
Maker Island was conceived, developed and organised by Fab Lab Olbia, a digital manufacturing lab that has been active in Sardinia since 2014, participating in all the main events related to digital innovation on the island. In 2018, a new branch was opened on the western coast of the island: the Fab Lab Oristano.
