Two projects currently address the welcome and integration of refugees and asylum seekers - RefugIS and Co-Host – both are financed by Microsoft Philanthrophies.
And two courses are programmed for today. At 9:30 am, there will be a “Train the Trainer” Webinar for Project RefugIS with Microsoft experts and developers. Francesca Del Duca and Ilaria Graziano supervise the project for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
Project Co-Host will be in Messina at the IIS Verona-Trento School, managed by Headmistress Simonetta Di Prima, where 22 year-three students on the Computer Science Programme will host a course for young foreign guests from 3 local welcome centres, accompanied by managers from the Comunità di Sant'Egidio. Professors Rosaria Tornese and Rosario Natoli coordinate the didactic activities.
Through Projects RefugIS and Co-Host, financed by Microsoft Philanthrophies, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale addresses, once again, the issues of the functional and digital literacy and integration of foreign nationals through the third reception formula.
Schools are transformed into hubs for the education and integration of immigrants and refugees through the practice and development of digital, linguistic and civic competences.
