Learning to Learn

The 3rd edition of the International Congress on Flipped Classrooms, promoted by Flipnet in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will be held on Friday, February 24 at the Auditorium del Massimo in Rome.

Over 1000 teachers from all over Italy will participate in the meeting entitled Learning to Learn – Ready for the Future to discuss new educational scenarios and present innovative and creative models for school.

Jon Bergman, Flipped Classroom guru and pioneer together with Aaron Sams, will be one of this year’s speakers together with the European Association of teachers that practices this model and many experts.

Registration is now underway for everyone who wishes to participate in the event: a day to learn about a completely new school without frontal lessons or tests, with new methods and tools for active didactics that generate true skills, reducing boredom, one of the most widespread sentiments amongst Italian students.

Teachers provide students with podcasts of their lessons to be studied at home. In class, the students are involved in labs and group work that focus on their creativity and intelligences. In this way, technology becomes a fundamental tool for learning, leading a multi-level revolution affecting classroom setting, relations with students and families and even the didactic evaluation process.

This congress is a perfect opportunity for all teachers who wish to prepare for the future. Eighteen speakers will be followed by workshops and practical activities. Works will be opened by Maurizio Maglioni, President, Flipnet Association, and then the floor will be turned over to a range of experts, including Grazia Paladino, Deputy President, Flipnet and supervisor of various websites dedicate to the Flipped Classroom for students and teachers; Annamaria Testa, journalist and communications expert; Daniela Lucangeli, Professor of Developmental Psychology at the University of Padua; Mauro Sabella, New Technology for Didactics Expert.
