More than one hundred citizens have participated in the project addressing “Inter-generational Learning: school as an environment in which to learn key competences for integration,” co-financed by the European Union (European Fund for the Integration of Third Country Nationals), to promote the integration of foreign minors in Italian schools, contrast discrimination and support intercultural dialogue.

The project, coordinated by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with the Eriches 29 Consortium of Social Cooperatives and the collaboration of the Il Percorso Cooperative, took place in Rome’s 15th District (Municipio XV) including the Magliana, Corviale and Trullo, areas with a high presence of immigrants. The project involved three schools: the Istituto statale Colomba Antonietti, the Istituto Comprensivo Statale Fratelli Cervi and the Scuola media statale Riccardo Quartararo.

The course methodology involved the participation of students as tutors for the foreign citizens in order to make the programme collaborative and personal. Over 100 students of all age groups were involved in the “family format” didactic programme. The three schools will host public events to present the project results to the community. The first appointment is for December 16,3:00 pm, at Itas Colomba Antonietti (via dei Papareschi 30/a).

Subsequent events:
  • 21 December, 4:00 pm, at the Scuola media Quartararo
  • 22 December, 4:30 pm, at the Istituto comprensivo F.lli Cervi
