The Colli Aniene Elder Centre in Rome’s 4th District is as large as Frosinone and as populated as Reggio Emilia. Moreover, it has a large number of elders and an age index of 180.4, while the Roman average is 163.8. In short, there are four elders to every child. Over 5000 over-60s participate in the many activities organised in the district’s 11 elder centres.
Mrs. Wilma Giansanti, former President of the Colli Aniene Elder, participates enthusiastically in Project Going Digital promoted by the City of Rome. The digital literacy course is held by students at the Liceo Croce-Aleramo.
In this short interview with Eleonora Curatola, Mrs. Wilma explains the importance of technology to keep in touch with others.
