A new cycle of on-line seminars dedicated to soft skills will be promoted in May 2021 through Rome’s Information Centre for Youth - Informagiovani Roma Capitale. Soft skills have become central to professional employment and being aware of them is a crucial step towards presenting a solid professional identity. The cycle is divided into three appointments, each of which is dedicated to a different skills area on CVs

 

  • May 5 – 4 pm | Personal Skills (motivation, self-trust, curiosity)

  • May 12 – 4 pm | Social Skills (communication ability, teamwork, communication, teamwork, resourcefulness)

  • May 26 – 4 pm | Organisational Skills (problem solving, independence, time management, stress management)

Once the basic and intermediate cycles have ended, through “Ambizione Italia for Youth,” the Rome Councillorship for Economic Development, Tourism and Labour will invite registered participants to its Work Orientation Centres (COLs) for an advanced learning opportunity.

 

Starting on May 4, there will be an advanced course on “Jobs of the Future” to provide a range of notions on gaming, programming languages, web design, data engineering and other issues. Participants will receive a participation certificate that will be particularly useful for those looking for employment in the IT sector.

 

The advanced course on Jobs of the Future will address:

  • Introduction and gaming labour market; introduction to videogaming and job opportunities.
  • First steps: software and interfaces; introduction to two- and three-dimensional graphics.
  • New project: creating a game: environment, player, scene objects.
  • Programming with C#, introduction to object programming.
  • Definition: adding interactive objects.
  • Finalising the canvas, introduction to two-dimensional elements and text.
  • AI Integration: modifying unity project for AI.
  • Finalising and personalising the project.
