The TG2 "Lavori in corso" news programme, broadcast on May, 1, was dedicated to the jobs of the future. Reporter Simona Burattini interviewed Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, during RomeCup 2018 at the Rome Campus Bio-Medico University.
During the second part of the report, the Sinergie Association, one of the exhibitors at the 12th edition of RomeCup, described the digital transformation of silk production: mulberry cultivation, silkworm breeding and silk thread processing. The association has designed and developed machinery prototypes for silk reeling and thread production with new mechanical-digital technology. All machinery is run by step-by-step motors, regulated by controllers and controlled by Arduino chipsets.
