Jesi: Grandparents on the Internet and Fiscal Lessons

A new pilot project involving the National Revenue System is underway at the Jesi Leonardo Da Vinci Scientific Lyceum. The course is dedicated to the over-sixties participating in the Grandparents on the Internet course. The initiative is sponsorised by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi.

The region with Italy’s longest-living population presents a new challenge in digital literacy: training the Marche’s pensioners in the use of the National Revenue System’s on-line services.

The pilot is a spin-off from two consolidate national projects: Taxes and School, promoted by the National Revenue System and the Ministry of Education, and Grandparent on the Internet, a project promoting the digital literacy of elders. These two experiences have been forged by the staff of the Leonardo Da Vinci Scientific Lyceum, a leading school that has taken great interest in satisfying all the needs of the territory.

The first laboratory, which will be held on Wednesday May 20th at the Leonardo da Vinci Scientific Lyceum of Jesi (Ancona), will feature the presence of:
.        Bruna Aguzzi, school administrator
.        Giuliana Mazzarini, PC lab assistant
.        Fabrizio Rosciolini, PC lab assistant
.        Federico Barillari, Manager of the Regional Revenue System of Ancona
.        Angelo Dionisi, Director the Revenue System Office in Jesi
.        Michela Belfiori, Manager of the Regional Revenue System in Jesi and Head of ICT services
.        Fausta Nucci, Manager of the Regional Revenue System of Jesi
.        Annamaria Cacchione, Fondazione Mondo Digitale Researcher and co-author of the Grandparents on the Internet Manuals produced with the La Sapienza University of Rome.

The training day will also feature the presence of about 30 students who participated in the Grandparents on the Internet project as tutors.

The Revenue System Managers will illustrate how to employ the on-line services to the elders, whilst the students will study what will become a part of next year’s Grandparents on the Internet courses.
