Itis Einstein: Solidea Presents Awards to Two Students

The second edition of the Stop Violence Against Women Award, organised by Solidea, an agency created by the Province of Rome, selected ten original products created by secondary schools in Rome.

Every winner received a 500-euro Prize. Valeria Gaeta and Mariella Di Girolamo were presented their awards on March 4th at the Istituto tecnico industriale Einstein where they also congratulated by the President of the Province of Rome, Nicola Zingaretti, and the many students present at the awards ceremony.

President Zingaretti invited all the students to “do something, even just a joke, to let everyone know that you are all against violence. It is necessary to speak out and discuss this issue in order to understand the drama that lies beneath it and address the situation.”

Zingaretti also referred to the numbers: "According to Istat, more than 90% of violence is never spontaneously denounced and more than 60% takes place within the household. We firmly believe in Solidea that has operated silently, not in the newspapers, but by opening up aid centres. "

Mariagrazia Passuello, President of Solidea, emphasised how the prize was created to “invite young people to propose a significant message against violence on women. More than 100 products were entered in the competition from the schools of Rome and Province. We always look at the negative aspects, such as bully-ism in schools, but we want to exploit the creative talent of students
