Via Pasquale II, 235 – Rome

For over ten years now, the Itis Einstein School has presented the Sound and Image Project to expose students to the new languages of multimedia. This year, however, the enormous expressive potential of new media has been used to promote international cooperation and the Digital Bridge Project.

In order to attract students to the issues of development and intercultural dialogue, the school accepted the challenge to explain the colours and sounds of the Saharawi, beginning with a vital resource, water, and comparing different life-styles and consumption habits.

The Programme

  • Photographic Exhibition “A Visit to the Saharawi People”
  • Presentation of the Sound and Image 2009 Project
  • Presentation of the Digital Bridge Project
  • Projection of the “A Drop of Sea in the Water” Video
  • Live Rock Music (Crazy easy, Sheeps in the attics)
  • Live Ethnic Music (Enea Group “Voices from Africa”, Percussions and Voice, directed by Sergio Quarta)

All the money made from the sales of photos and videos will be given to the Saharawi Reception Project, promoted by the Bambini+Diritti association, which hosts children from the Saharawi Refugee Camps in Italy for the month of July.

  • Watch Einstein Students at the "1x1" TV Programme (Sat2000)
