As part of the celebrations for 2010 as the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion, the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and Agiscuola have announced a competition for short movies (entitled “Corti di Scuola”) to provide students with the opportunity to critically analyse relevant issues.
The Award will be presented on Monday May 17 at MIUR to the students of Itis “A.Einstein” in Rome. The school participated in the the first phase of Project Digital Bridge, a technological bridge with the Saharawi People, an e-inlcusion project in favour of the Saharawi people that is financed by the Lazio Region, coordinated by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and locally implemented by the Social Promotion Association Bambini+Diritti.
The short entitled Una goccia nell’oceano (A Drop in the Ocean) which won in the Fiction category, was produced during the first trip of Roman Schools to the Saharawi Refugee Camps (Wilaya of Aiun), a very successful experience in the transversal use of technology against the digital divide and for the development of a fair community.
