Itas Antonietti - A School for All

Itas Antonietti - A School for All

An exchange of stories, culture, competencies and emotions … a multi-ethnic class and participants from all over the world and all age groups … 15 to 60!

Even the buffet was multi-ethnic at the final event of Inter-generational Learning: school as a learning environment for key competencies for integration that was held yesterday at the Itas Colomba Antonietti school in Rome, where representatives of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and School Administrator Maria Carla Sacconi presented the certificates to the course participants.

“Integration requires training and human contacts. School is an excellent means for this and allows participants to work together, learn and learn how to live together,” the headmaster underlined, emphasizing the diligence with which Ikteir, Carlos, Maksy, Olha and the rest of the class attended the Italian, computer and civic education courses.

The project, which is co-financed by the European Union (European Fund for the integration of Third Country Nationals) and targeted foreign citizens in Rome’s 15th District (Municipio XV), was coordinated by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with the Eriches 29 Consortium of Social Cooperatives and the collaboration of Kstudio Associato and the Il Percorso Cooperative.

The Istituto comprensivo F.lli Cervi and the first-degree secondary school R. Quartararo also participated in the project as partners. The final events at these schools will be held on December 21st at 6.30 pm and December 22nd at 4.30 pm.

The project teaches Italian, computers and civic education by means of an innovative methodology in which students act as tutors to support classroom didactics.
