Internet, a Cultural Revolution

One of out of every two Italians is on Facebook and 62.1% uses the Internet. This is just two of the facts published in the new Censis study that was reviewed during the Le strade di Roma programme on Radio Città Futura.

Alfonso Molina, Professor of Technology Strategy and Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale pointed out that moving beyond mere numbers "we are confronted with a real digital revolution that has brought us a greater wealth of content. We are a step away from convergence.”

"In this changing panorama, there is a tendency towards collaboration and the personalization of information channels,” Molina explained. “The main challenge is to create a universally inclusive society so that everyone can benefit from the Internet. Teachers and school play a fundamental role in this challenge. They must be ready to learn from students, face this new world and promote it throughout the entire community.”
