Amongst the first signatories of the Future Chair Declaration promoted by Assifero
Philanthropic foundations are questioning the role of youth at the international level and have recently begun adopting innovative practices to involve and implicate youth in the decisional and strategic processes of their organisations, as demonstrated by the following reports: “Child and Youth Participation in Philanthropy: Stories of Transformation” (published in May 2022), Philea – Philanthropy Europe Association, and “A funders toolkit for child and youth participation” (published in June 2022 by Elevate Children Funders Group).
Based on their international experience and activities, Assifero has decided to promote the Future Chair Declaration of commitment by Italian foundations and philanthropic agencies for intergeneration dialogue.
In the full respect of their nature, independence, and missions, the signatory foundations, philanthropic agencies, and investors with a social impact agree to:
- Promote and create environments for dialogue and debate
- Remove obstacles and guarantee enabling conditions
- Promote a culture of listening at all levels
- Be accountable and follow up
- Communicate results
- Promote principles
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale was one of the first signatories.
