Do immigrants participate in local community life? How so? What difficulties do migrant associations encounter as opposed to native citizen associations? How can differences and discrimination be overcome? What strategies should be deployed to gain better knowledge of different cultures coexisting in the same local community?
The Inti Programme has created a multi-lingual portal to welcome immigrants to nine European cities: Crotone, Barcelona, Budapest, Rome, Amsterdam, Huelva, Enna, London and Lecce.
Six easy to comprehend icons provide fundamental information for these cities on:
- Welcome
- Work
- School and Professional Training
- Living
- Health
- Community
The Rome section of the portal will be tested by the guests of the Centro Enea, the second level reception, multi-purpose structure for the integration of refugees, asylum seekers and beneficiaries of subsidiary protection created by the City of Rome and the Ministry of the Interior.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale pursues the professional integration of the Centro Enea guests, animates the Internet Café and organizes functional and digital literacy courses.
