How to Tell a Story

The second pilot course for European Project Welcome begins today. The project is financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (at the central level) and involves five European member states: Italy, Belgium, Greece, Germany and Spain.

The objective is to develop and test an innovative methodology to promote the inclusion of third country nationals in educational, social and cultural activities, with a particular focus on activities that creatively employ new technology.

Following the first pilot course [see news: Digital Welcome] that ended in September, the project partners evaluated the experiences in their countries and improved both the methodology and programme.

This new pilot experience begins with the Digital Storytelling Module. Today, the young participants will attend a course with Anna Uttaro, Professor of Technology at the Rome “CPIA 1” and Coach for the Formazione Mondo Digitale.

After warming up and completing a couple of exercises to get to know each other, the students will begin to learn about digital storytelling. How does one tell a story through images, sounds, videos and digital tools?
