The Fab Lab is a hands-on laboratory for digital craftsmanship in the Phyrtual Innovation Gym to transform ideas into projects. It’s a workshop with 3D printers, laser cutters, precision cutters and plotters, as well as a wide range of tools that can be used to assemble a project.
The Innovation Gym Fab lab provides free-lance professionals, craftsmen and companies with machinery for rapid prototyping, meeting rooms and custom-tailored courses and didactic programmes to improve their business and design strategies. Moreover, by becoming part of a network, their work becomes simpler, richer and more innovative.
According to forecasts made by Gartner, a multinational research and analysis group on Information Technology, "within 2-5 years, 3D printers will be widely available in companies thanks to the development of ad hoc software and printing services. Moreover, we will also witness the benefits of 3D printing in the health sector. This will result in a global diffusion, especially in the field of prosthetic implants and medical devices.”
