The team from the Liceo Enrico Fermi in Padua is participating in the NonniBot Contest [see news: Towards RomeCup 2018] with a concrete case study.

The team, which includes seven students, six high school students and a university student from the Faculty of Information Engineering at the University of Padua, has chosen to design a robotics solution for a guest at the Fondazione OIC Opera Immacolata Concezione in Padua.

The team visited the facility which hosts elders to study solutions to their everyday problems and decided to develop an environment for eighty-nine-year-old Miss Licia, who is on a wheelchair. The team will showcase a model of their domotic environment, custom-tailored to Licia’s needs, at RomeCup 2018.

Mathematics Professor Carla Gobbo, who coordinates the students’ school-work programme, explains what the team is doing.
