Shopping on-line and paying bills from your smartphone … Yesterday’s 1:30 pm edition of the TG1 news show reported on the new service for elders promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale during the health emergency. A true help desk that allows grandparents and students to connect virtually. The young men and women are there to help the elders with instructions and advice on how to best use their digital devices in this difficult moment.
Some of the faces you see in the report are the over-60s connected from their houses: Cristina, Maria, Roberto, Alessandra, Giovanna, Luciana, Maria, Graziella and Vittorio. The coach is Siria, a 19-year-old university student.
