The state scientific lyceum Evangelista Torriccelli (via del Forte Braschi 99) first adhered to the Grandparents on the Internet Project in 2003.
The man who knows all about this is Prof. Tibuzzi, who started the first course and then became coordinator for the various referents that over the course of the years organised the course. This year the precious classroom assistants were Silvia and Patrizia.
The school has also increased its attention to the territory. School administrator Prof. Ornella Volpicelli wants the school to become a reference point for the community even during the afternoon. “Schools are always full during the morning. We should learn to do the same during the afternoon and provide training to satisfy the needs of our students”.

The course participants are happy to talk about curious incidents that have taken place, because the course is also designed for this, the special didactic complicity that arises between different generations.
One young tutor, Alessandro, lives in the suburbs of Rome in an area that still isn’t reached by Internet services. This means that he had never experimented with email as a way of keeping in touch with friends. He configured his first email address at the school together with his elderly student Augusto. Then, as they got to know each other they discovered that they had other common interests, such as tennis.
Augusto’s wife weighs in to say, “My husband didn’t even want to attend this course. He just did it to please me and now I can never get him away from the computer!”
