Faces and ideas of protagonists are featured in a report that will be aired today on “Neapolis”.
The report by Margherita Rosciano on Neapolis, a national television programme on innovation broadcast on RaiTre, was filmed on October 16th at the presentation of the seventh edition of the Grandparents on the Internet Project.
"This year there are two important novelties: the installation of internet corners in a number of elderly centres in Rome and the first virtual community for permanent adult learning. The initiative has been named “from Garbatella to Brussells”. The project, in fact, which was presented at the Istituto Armellini in Rome, has been so successful that is being exported abroad. Spain, Romania and Belgium will initiate literacy projects co-financed by the European Commission, while the Irish government has “twinned” with the FMD by collaborating with Intel Ireland. If the elderly are the protagonists who learn how to use the Internet and remain rooted in an increasingly fast daily reality, the students have proved great enthusiasm for their new role as teachers."
