Promoted by the City of Rome, the international competition is organized every two years by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale under the High Patronage of the Presidency of the Italian Republic.
The Global Junior Challenge is a unique opportunity to reflect on the challenges of 21st Century Education and the role of technology for didactic innovation, social integration, development and the eradication of poverty.
The 2012 edition includes new special categories: “ICT for the Integration of Immigrants and Refugees” in collaboration with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), "ICT for Sustainable Environmental Development” in partnership with Legambiente and the “ICT for the Social Participation of Youth” Award designed in collaboration with UNAOC to promote the projects developed by new generations that lead to real social change.
The registration deadline is May 30, 2012. The Awards Ceremony will be held in the Julius Caesar Hall of the Campidoglio on October 19, 2012.
