Grandparents from Pisa faced extremely cold weather to reach the warming hearts of students at IIS Filippo Buonarroti, who will help them familiarize with new technology, from computers to on-line services.
The new students participating in project Grandparents On-line will be welcomed by coordinating teachers Paola Pucci and Paola Pagliariccio, after a brief welcome message from Headmaster Mariangela Chiapparelli.
In the city, known worldwide for its famous Piazza dei Miracoli, students will have to perform a miracle of their own: teach the elders to understand and love the new digital economy and take advantage of the many tools that can improve their lives. In Pisa, in fact, over 26% of citizens is aged 65 or more.
