GEM: Toolkit for Schools

The material on gender equality at school, which has been developed by the partners of Gender Equality Matters, financed by the EU Rights, Equality and Citizenship (REC) Programme, will be presented today at 4 pm in an on-line workshop [see news: Tools for Equality].

 

The appointment is at 4 pm on the GotoWebinar Platform.

 

The primary and secondary school manuals were developed by Dublin City University, Fondazione Mondo Digitale, KMOP Social Action and Innovation Centre, and the University of Murcia Group of Research in Educational Technology.

 

The webinar will be introduced by the former President of the Republic of Ireland Mary Patricia McAleese, a lawyer and journalist, and Martin McAleese, Chancellor of Dublin City University (DCU).

 

The workshop will be moderated by Maureen King, President of the Scientific Committee at the National Anti-Bullying Research and Resource Centre, a specialised research centre at Dublin City University. Ms. King is CEO of iTrust Ethics Ltd and has over 20 years’ experience in risk and compliance. She has also worked as a high-level executive in the telecommunications industry. She received an Executive MBA from Dublin City University and is an accredited evaluator for the safeguarding rights with the Global Network Initiative. Ms. King is also President of the HalfTimeTalk Charitable Movement Board, an active ISPCC member for on-line safety and has been a GAA volunteer for over 30 years.
