“These five days will help us to promote all the opportunities provided by the Internet and the advantages that it provides, such as saving time or completing tasks.” Nicola Zingaretti, President of the Province of Rome, presented An Internet Week @ Rome (22-26 June) planned in collaboration with Code Internet.
During the course of the press conference, President Zingaretti also illustrated two new projects to extend the free Provincial Wi-Fi Network, a project that currently operates 81 hot spots (23 in Rome and 58 throughout the Province of Rome).
The first project, with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, entails the activation of 50 hot spots in 50 elderly centres in Rome, while the second, with the Roma Wireless Consortium, aims to integrate the network of 50 hot spots in the piazzas and villas of Rome with the provincial Wi-Fi network.
