It was introduced to the Phyrtual Innovation Gym labs by Ilaria La Manna, a young coach who developed it with the Fab Lat Kids Group in the Latin American Network. Now, Emosilla (a combination of the Spanish words for Emotion and Chair) has reached Kenya, too, where a workshop was held in Kisumu, at the Winam Fab Lab founded by Martin Oloo.
Yesterday, 22 children built four chairs and dedicated them to different emotions. The Emosilla, in fact, helps children to recognise their emotions and translate them graphically through the use of fun emoticons that personalise each chair. The chairs were entirely produced with digital manufacturing tools.
