Just a couple of weeks after the meeting Open Doors to Robotics (Turin, 4-5 November 2010), Robotics is on the scene again in Milan with a rich calendar of events.
Robotica 2010 (Fieramilano, 17-19 November 2010) features over 50 experts from various sectors ranging from medical research to enterprise. Silvia Celani from the Fondazione Mondo Digitale will also address educational robotics, a main feature of the programme, with a presentation on the "Experience of Educational Robotics in the Schools of Rome."
As happened in Turin, the Milan event will have round table discussions between advanced research and university/academic spin-offs and enterprises ranging from industrial research to didactics.
Last November 4th, in Turin, as part of the development programme for technical and professional education in the field of meccatronics and mechanics, a visit was organised to Comau Robotics for a delegation of sixty people, including professors from various Italian schools, representatives from the Industry and Education Commissions of the Province of Turin and Turin Polytechnic. The delgations include the Director General and Scientific Director of the FMD, Mirta Michilli e Alfonso Molina.
The guided visit proved very interesting and many were keen to find the opportunities to build a bridge between the world of education and work to establish new synergies and prepare the workers of the future while they are still in school.
