Project E-UROPa - Enabling European e-Participation aims to raise awareness on the opportunity of on-line participation in EU policy, independently from how far away from Brussels we live. Telecentre Europe coordinates the project in collaboration with twelve of its members, including the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
Many citizens think that the European Union is “something that happens” only in Brussels, far from their daily lives. However, the EU institutions have a series of on-line tools that allow us all to participate in the development of EU policy and benefit from our rights as EU citizens.
These opportunities are just a click away. E-participation is available in all European languages, but most citizens do not know about this. E-participation provides citizens with the opportunity to use technology to participate in the policies and choices that influence their lives.
