After the "A Stroll in the Future" Workshop dedicated to young men and women, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale continues its collaboration with Cocoon Projects to provide youth with a chance to express their ideas to promote the value of genre diversity.

Here is the press note presenting the initiative:
AIED ROMA AND COCOON PROJECTS PRESENT “#DIVERSIEINSIEME – A COMPETITION FOR IDEAS”
The competition aims to promote the ideas of young men and women and the value of genre diversity
After the 2013 edition that addressed violence against women (www.noviolenza.it) and the 2014 "#Giovani #LiberiDiAmare" edition on free and happy sexuality (www.liberidiamare.it), AIED Rome (Italian Association for Demographic Education) and Cocoon Projects present “#DIVERSIEINSIEME – A Competition for Ideas.” The competition invites young men and women aged 18-35 to participate in a national contest and present innovative projects that will have a concrete impact on reality to promote the value of genre diversity, a mainstream issue.
#DIVERSIEINSIEME is based on the certainty that being aware of who we are and who we can be – beyond any stereotype – allows us to have no fear of diversity, but rather appreciate it and learn from it. Equality is not homologation.
You have until May 28 to upload your ideas to the site dedicated to this initiative (www.diversieinsieme.it) and receive votes from the web community. Subsequently, the ideas will also be evaluated by a specific committee. The final placement will integrate the two together to select the top five ideas.
The top five teams will participate in a pitch contest during a conference that will be held in Rome on June 13, 2015 at the Grand Hotel de la Minerve, with experts, journalists and young men and women.
The winner will receive a €10,000 prize (€3000 in cash from AIED and €7000 in services to support the project start-up provided by Cocoon Projects over three months following the event.
“#Diversiinsieme wants to represent an ideal juncture between the tow previous editions and modernize the country. It means seeing diversity as a founding value for cultural and social growth, especially that of youth,” explains Luigi Laratta, President of AIED Rome.
“Each of us is different and special and should have the right to express and share this in a social context that can defend, support and integrate all of us, instead of undermining individuality. Even in this edition, the winning idea will slowly become a reality, a concrete step in the right direction,” points out Cocoon Projects.
