From this afternoon until next Sunday, six young aspiring "mentors" from Project Welcome will participate in the Social Hackathon Umbria, organised by Centro Studi Città di Foligno, the other Italian partner of the European project.

In Foligno, students - including those participating in Project Welcome - will participate in an original two-day digital marathon to develop innovative ideas for social and educational contests under the supervision of an expert team manager.

During the 48-hour hackathon (Friday-Saturday), the teams will develop a pitch, a prototype or a product to present to national jury. The award consists in a digital prize worth €100. Each team member will collaborate towards this goal with his or her competences.

The students will be in Foligno from 6 pm, today, for the formation of the teams, until Sunday at 1 pm for the awards ceremony.

Rosy D'Elia, a member of the hackathon jury will be in Foligno for the entire weekend.
