Digital for the 3@rd Age

Over 400 kilometres in five days and five interactive, intergenerational and exciting events to experience digital transformation for young elders; Over 500 citizens actively involved in Perugia, Terni, Spoleto, Foligno, and Città di Castello. These events will provide precious indications for the widespread and inclusive digital transformation of a region in which intergenerational learning is a winning model.

The #interconnessioni17 project results – the project promoted by the   Regione Umbria in collaboration with the Umbria Public Administration School and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale to promote the digital literacy of over-65s [see news: Final Event in Perugia] - were present on Monday, on December 11 at the Sala dei Notari of the Palazzo dei Priori in Perugia.

As part of the programme for Digital for the 3@rd Age. Engagement of Young Elders, promoted by the Umbrian Digital Agenda, Project “Interconnessioni” organised a week of original interactive activities held by different generations for the social and technological integration of young elders (65-74). The activities were held from November 27 to December 1 in five cities of the Umbrian Digital Agenda (Perugia, Terni, Spoleto, Foligno and Città di Castello).

The final conference helped to collect ideas, hints, collaborations and innovative solutions on digital issues for the elderly that emerged from the debate between public and private players and local communities participating in the initiative. It’s a 10-point collaborative plan to transform citizens’ proposals into concrete projects to promote a widespread, inclusive digitalisation across all of Umbria.
