An evening together with the Saharawi children who arrived in Rome just a few weeks ago to spend the summer with their Italian friends and learn about a reality that is very different from the refugee camps in which they live.
The event – scheduled for Wednesday July 14 at 8 pm at the Scuola Santa Beatrice (via di S. Beatrice 15, Rome) - has been organized by the volunteers of the Bambini+Diritti Onlus Association. Together with representatives of the “Il Fiore” fair trade shop from Ladispoli (Rome), they will face the issue of water, a vital resource that many live without and which we often undervalue.
During one of the last trips to the refugee camps in the Algerian desert, some of the Roman students had the opportunity to experience the difficulties of those who live their firsthand. They have studied the problems related to lack of water. These are the students from the schools that participated in the first phase of the Project Digital Bridge, a technological bridge with the Saharawi people, implemented by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale together with the Bambini+Diritti Onlus.
