Rome is hosting the 10th edition of “RomeCup 2016 – Excellence in Robotics in Rome” (March 16-18) with the successful multi-event formula: competitions, labs, showcase area, conferences and debates. The competitions involve 156 teams from schools in 17 Italian Regions competing for the world championship selections (RoboCup).
The showcase area at the Palalevante (Croce-Aleramo School) features 56 “robotic champions” selected for the Robotics Olympics promoted by MIUR with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. The winners will receive their awards on May 24 at the Parma Maifest, at the inaugural evening of the SPS IPC Drives Italia Fair.
The RomeCup is promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with MIUR, Rome Città Educativa and Sapienza University. It is sponsored by COMAU, ENEA and Media Direct /Campus Store. The media partner is Dire Giovani. RomeCup also promotes the eSkills for Jobs 2016 and Get Online Week 2016 European campaigns.
