Giorgia Di Tommaso (24) has just graduated with a computer science degree from Sapienza University in Rome and is now studying for a Masters Degree. She loves graphics and new technologies and in her free time studies how to develop Android apps.
Here experience as a trainer, just like Agnese, began with the Coding Girls Rome-USA event. For one week, she worked with American coaches Ashley Gavin and Elizabeth Caudle, both 27 years old, in schools and at the final hackathon. Now, Giorgia is part of a small team of tight tutors coordinated da Cecilia Stajano, FMD School Innovation Manager.
Amongst the many activities involving the Coding Girls, one of the most original is an orientation event for high school students that need to choose what to study.
The students often know nothing about computer science, but when they understand how they can programme something on their own, they quickly get excited. And so do the teachers, explains Giorgia in this short interview with Rosy D'Elia.
