After a long break for the winter holidays, Project Amongst Generations – United for Work is back. The first 15 participating students are from the ISACP School in Orvieto artistic programme with Prof. Lorella Monichini. The course will be held in the school fab lab, except for a final visit to a craftsmanship enterprise in Orvieto.
The students will be accompanied by 15 retired craftsmen (12 men and 3 women) from CNA Pensionati Orvieto, coordinated by their President, Giancarlo Fucili. Their profession vary from upholstery to marble works and carpenters to mechanics.
After Orvieto, the project will kick off in Palermo and Livorno.
The new edition of Amongst Generations. United for Work, a project developed by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and CNA Pensionati, also features the collaboration of Facebook Italy. The objective is to train adults to use new technology and allow students to enjoy new work opportunities. The intergenerational learning formula involves 8 schools in 4 Italian Regions: Lombardy, Umbria, Marche and Puglia.
School students will act as facilitators and guide the CNA retirees through the world of technology and the Internet, while the retired craftsmen will share their profound knowledge of their trades with the students and promote them in a digital perspective.
