The average age of people living in Campobasso (49,262 residents) is high and the age index is growing. The 30-64 age group is the most numerous. The Liceo G. Marconi, attended by over 800 students, has begun extending its curricular programme to provide answers to the new local needs and promote the work of youth in improving the city.
As part of Project eSkills4Change, students at the school designed an intelligent Arduino-based cover for smartphones: in emergencies, all one has to do is grasp it tightly and it will send out a geo-localised emergency message. Now, the idea is to transform the project into a start-up to launch the project on the market. In fact, the students presented their project in Milan at Ambizione Italia (Sept. 28, 2018).
With “Eskills4Change,” Microsoft and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale provide 10,000 young men and women with digital training opportunities with particular attentionto women and citizens in southern Italy.
