A Connected World

A Connected World

The Nonnet – Urban Digital Vegetable Gardens was presented yesterday in Pontecagnano and featured various presentations including that of Michele Bonomo, President of Legambiente Campania.

“I had the first meeting with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale at Terra futura in Florence. We shared our experiences and decided that we had to collaborate. Now, it’s underway in Pontecagnano, Eboli and Succivo, but we hope to soon expand to dozens of other vegetable gardens.

This is a fantastic opportunity for inter-generational socialisation. Our elders will be able to transmit their experience and life stories to the young, and so will the young generation.

Our vegetable gardens have become famous throughout the region and even at the national level because of their integration of different realities: a true laboratory in which to experiment with organic agriculture for months on end.

A couple of years ago, after having heard about environmental sustainability, a young girl said: “So the world is all connected?” Yes, it is. We believe the entire world is connected, including vegetable garden therapy, life outdoors, sharing experiences between generations … this and much more.
