Elderly Centres are not all about playing cards and bowls. The first 50 Internet Corners are implemented in Rome.
Today, Enrica Bonaccorti’s Radio Programme Tornando a casa (“Coming back home” on Radio 1 Rai, 17:40 –18:55) will broadcast an interview with Rome Social Policy Councillor Sveva Belviso.
Last week, the Councillor took part in the presentation of the new initiatives of the 7th edition of the digital literacy project dedicated to over sixties: Grandparents on the Internet.
This year, thanks to the collaboration between the ENI Foundation and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, the first fifty Internet Corners will be installed in as many Elderly Centres in Rome.
This will allow the elders to practice their new skills and the first grandparent tutors will be able to attract other elders to the new technologies.
