On yesterday’s issue of Login, the supplement of the Corriere della Sera dedicated to innovation and technology, Roberta Cocco, consultant to Minister Vittorio Colao, "focuses on digital skills and the importance that women turn to scientific and technical (STEM) studies.”

In a full-page interview by Paola Pica, Roberta Cocco addressed the issue of the digital divide in Italy and the strategy to reduce the gender gap. The addressed initiatives include the Coding Girls Programme, which is organising students for the Girls in ICT Day, the day promoted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to encourage young women to undertake professions in the technology sector and transform the gender gap into an enabling factor for innovation.  This year will focus on “access and security” to eliminate the barriers that women still encounter and increase their security in digital environments.

The great Coding Girls Educational Alliance focuses on STEM education, programming and artificial intelligence as three fundamental nodes to enable women to become protagonists of the jobs of the future. On Thursday, April 28 from 10:30 to 1:00 pm, there will be a live event and activities in the Universities of TurinMilanRome and Naples.
