The tutor with the greatest experience in teaching elders is a student at ITI Guglielmo Marconi in Catania, managed by Headmaster Ugo Pirrone. Simone began tutoring when he was 14 and never stopped. Today, he’s 19 and aware that he has helped many elders understand the advantages of the web and on-line services.
Simone’s battle against digital illiteracy has been waged with the tools of an adolescent: passion, understanding of new technology and infinite patience. The tutors are coordinated by Prof Vincenzina Pastore, the school digital coordinator.
