Homer recounts how the Trojan Horse stratagem allowed the Greeks to defeat the Trojans by entering the city concealed in the wooden statue.
However, if there’s a horse in the entrance hall of the Rieti Calcagnadoro Institute it narrates other occurrences, equally valiant and ingenious, but which conceal no tricks. As a matter of fact, the “secret” of the Institute is to highlight and exploit the less known resources, starting with its teachers. The ingenious stratagem is renovating the school from the inside, without stand offs, through the constant dialogue underway between all its subjects and the territory.
The Grandparents on the Internet Project, which has been integrated in the “Calcagnadoro scuola aperta” initiative, becomes a part of the schools programme of studies.
Today, the Grandparents on the Internet courses will be officially introduced with the first meeting of tutors and elderly students in the main lecture hall. The tutors, who are all multimedia experts, have studied their school subjects with the aid of new technologies for many years.
