Through the European Prodigy project, companies can join an international network
How can businesses contribute to young people’s development whilst, at the same time, identifying new skills to tackle the digital and green transition? Through the European project PRODIGY – PROmoting Digital and Green Skills for Youth, companies have the opportunity to join a business cluster operating in Italy, Greece and Bulgaria, designed to link training, career guidance and the world of work.
Funded under ESF+ Social Innovation+, PRODIGY supports 240 young NEETs – those not in education, employment or training – in developing digital, green and professional skills. The project covers the areas of Naples, Catanzaro, Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Thessaloniki, Gotse Delchev and Blagoevgrad, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable young people and those with fewer opportunities to access the labour market. The Business Cluster was established to strengthen dialogue between businesses, training organisations and young talent. Participating companies can join a network of national and European stakeholders, take part in discussions, contribute to the development of career guidance opportunities, interviews, work placements and apprenticeships, and connect with candidates trained in the sectors most in demand by the market.
For businesses, this represents an opportunity to invest in up-to-date skills, enhance their appeal and make a tangible contribution to the growth of Youth Social Value, by promoting inclusion, innovation and regional development.
The project is being carried out by an international partnership comprising Fondazione L’Albero della Vita ETS as lead partner, Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS, Adecco Italia spa and Roma Tre University, together with European partners ActionAid Hellas in Greece and Partners Bulgaria Foundation in Bulgaria.
Interested companies can complete the online form to join the network and, together with the partnership, identify opportunities to match the professional profiles they are seeking with the training programmes offered to young people.
