On Thursday, July 9th, the children from the Saharawi refugee camps willl arrive in Rome. They will be hosted by the social promotion association Bambini+Diritti at the "Santa Beatrice" School of the Circolo didattico Magliana in July and in the Piancastagnaio (Siena) and Terracina (Latina) in August.
Volunteers are still necessary to cover the many shifts from Monday to Friday (1st shift 9 am-2 pm; 2nd shift 2-7 pm).
Scheduled appointments include:
- Tuesday July 7, 6:00 pm at the “Santa Beatrice” School (via dell'Oratorio Damasiano 20) - Veronica Calcaterra, Project Director, and Massimiliano Giusti, President of the Didactic Council, will meet the volunteers to fine tune the organization.
- Friday July 10, 7:00 pm at the “Santa Beatrice” School – Welcome Party for the children featuring the projection of the short feature entitled Una goccia nell’oceano, created by the Suono & Immagine lab at the Itis Einstein School in Rome for the Digital Bridge Project. The video received the first place prize for Italy at the international Yeff! Competition (Young European Film Forum for Cultural Diversity).
