Once again, for the 8th edition, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale is the Italian partner of the All Digital Week Campaign promoted by All Digital, the organisation that represents the most important European networks operating with new technology.
However, the coronavirus emergency and closed schools have not stopped the campaign that on March 23-29 will foster the commitment of agencies, institutions, organisations and research centres to promote digital competences, especially amongst the youngest. All the events have been reprogrammed on-line.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale will participate in digital activities related to its educational channel that has been promoting distance learning and home schooling with courses, materials and tools for teachers, students and parents.
The objective of the campaign is to raise the awareness of European citizens on the need to acquire greater digital competences, which are currently insufficient in 43% of the population. Similarly, 35% of all workers are lacking basic competences and 13% has never been on-line.
