They are modular, evolving, inclusive and grassroots. Phyrtual Innovation Gyms can be developed in any school to welcome the local community and citizens and align instruction and training with the challenges posed by the 21st century.
To date, 99 schools have joined the National Network of Phyrtual Innovation Gyms. From Sicily to Friuli, 17 Italian regions are involved, including many small towns such as Santo Stefano Belbo (Cuneo) or Castel Frentano (Chieti) that have just over 4000 residents, as well as metropolitan cities such as Rome and Naples.
Lazio holds the record for member schools, but other regions are also increasingly developing Phyrtual Innovation Gyms. This new grassroots movement is documented at InnovationGym.org
What’s a Phyrtual Innovation Gym? Alfonso Molina explains it in just a few minutes in this video available in English, Italian and Spanish.
