Pathway Companion is an AI-powered platform for inclusive learning, developed by Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS with the support of Google.org.
Pathway Companion was created to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their caregivers – subject and support teachers, learning tutors, educators and parents. In particular, Pathway Companion is suitable for children and young people who experience difficulties with reading and text comprehension, from the third year of primary school through to the first two years of upper secondary school (8–16 years). The platform allows materials to be adapted in various ways according to the caregiver’s preferences and the student’s characteristics, creating teaching modules that can also be used outside the school setting, and acts as an intelligent learning tutor.
The consortium behind Pathway Companion includes:
- A clinical partner, Fondazione Don Gnocchi, which has extensive experience in Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Special Educational Needs.
- Two technical partners for the development of the platform, ITLogiX and Roma Tre University.
