FavolApp

FavolApp is an app that helps children, with simple games, recognize their own emotions and those of their friends and family members. By interpreting what characters from Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Little Red Riding Hood, and Pinocchio feel, children can identify fear, anger, sadness, happiness or joy, disgust, and surprise. In recognizing similarities of moods or differences, they not only learn to tell how they feel, but also to understand how others may feel, live and even online.

The app is available for devices with Android and iOS operating systems.

The app was developed as part of Social Hosting Hub, a project promoted in collaboration with ActionAid, Comunità di Sant'Egidio and Parole O_Stili, among the winners of the Google.org Impact Challenge on safety. The goal of the initiative is to create and animate the first firtual educational ecosystem (physical and virtual), made of connections, relationships, community. It is a safe space for all, with concrete tools, calibrated by age, to get informed, choose correct communication and behavioral styles, learn in a transformative way, develop new paradigms of coexistence on common values. The project aims to create awareness and knowledge by promoting responsible browsing and digital citizenship skills.
