Mission and values

Code of ethics
In matter of fact, our code of ethics is already incorporated into our work method and gives the power to our every activity. General ethical principles – honesty, loyalty, correctness, solidarity, indiscrimination, transparency and responsibility – are the values we adopt in every action.

The principle of "equal opportunities for men and women”, for example, an important feature in codes of ethics everywhere, has always distinguished our organization. FMD has never required “affirmative action” in this regard. From young interns to fully-formed professionals, women naturally occupy positions of coordination, planning, and communication thanks to the experience they have acquired in the field. Women, moreover, also seem to fit in immediately with the style of a non-profit organization oriented to learning, sharing their knowledge and skills, promoting cooperative learning, and promoting the growth of transversal relationships.

Even if FMD has never formulated a “specific” code of ethics thus far on the basis of practices that have by now become second nature, we are also studying the current trends in the international context, in which various codes exist, especially for NGO, and in certain nations organizations are “certified” by governments on the basis of their skills and prowess in the management of their activities.
