Today, our telephone stories with the educational community take us to the Province of Trapani, where Cecilia Stajano [@CStajano], School Innovation Coordinator and Community Manager at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale speaks with the Head Mistress of the Istituto comprensivo Giovanni XIII in Paceco, Barbara Mineo.
"We were not ready to face the emergency,” she confesses, even though the school is digitally well-equipped. Nonetheless, over the course of a few weeks, our families were able to connect and follow distance learning activities. The school also provided SIM cards for data to the families that needed them. “And perhaps for the first time,” the Head Mistress adds, “families experienced the educational and didactic activities of their children from the inside.” Now, however, our greatest urgency is to return to school and integrate the “idea of change” into the new school year.
