The Intelligence Challenge

Today, two parallel work sessions in Rome and Milan will kick off activities for Project Ambizione Italia for Schools, promoted by Microsoft in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. The Microsoft House in Milan and the Rome Phyrtual Innovation Gym are the two main project hubs where knowledge and competences on computer science and artificial intelligence will be imparted to 250,000 young men and women aged 12-18 and 20,000 teachers and educators.

In order to help schools promote digital culture and the development of the country, 35 further hubs will be created in schools, especially in areas with less resources and suffer issues such as youth unemployment, educational poverty, etc.

In Milan, the AI Class at the Microsoft House will be held by Giorgia Di Tommaso on day one and by Valentina Gelsomini for the next two days. The first session will be held for students at the IIS Falcone-Righi School in Corsico. In Rome, students at the Liceo Classico B. Russell will learn about the new challenges of Computer Science with Marco Brocchieri at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym.

Project “Ambizione Italia for Schools” is coordinated by Francesca Del Duca with help from Debora Cavallo.
